Early on in Yoshino's tenure as queen, her plans, while well-intentioned, often run into trouble due to her not considering the townspeople's feelings or needs.She even surprises herself when she asks Erika if she's fine growing old in the city, echoing something her own mother had asked her. She gradually grows to love the town, even if she's unsure what she'll do when she's no longer queen. Yoshino starts out desperate to leave Manoyama and return to Tokyo despite not having a job lined up there.But Now I Must Go: Yoshino decides to leave the town after her contract ends, because she doesn't want to "surrender to the feeling of being at home.".Moreover, Yoshino decides to move away after her contract ends, leaving behind the people with whom she has formed a loving bond (although she hopes to return one day, but feels it won't be good for her growth if she settles down now), and at her abdication ceremony Kadota tells the townspeople that he will shut down the Chupakabura Kingdom for good. Yoshino has grown as a person, and her efforts to revive the town had a definite positive effect, but Manoyama's merger with a bigger town still makes its future uncertain.
Sanae was absent during most of the time where Yoshino first appeared in live television as queen of the Chupakabura Kingdom due to working on other projects. Sadly, the video did not improve the results, but Sanae is relieved to have worked with Yoshino, Shiori, Maki and Ririko, especially as she had been starting to have second thoughts about her decision to leave Tokyo. Sanae was dismayed at the poor reception of the site and eventually helped in making a Chupakabura-themed video advertisement for the manju buns.
Sanae accepted the request, and spent the next several days in planning and programming the website with the help of resources gathered by Yoshino and the others. In one such incident, Yoshino and Shiori were present to ask for her help in making a website for the manju buns that they needed to sell. Here, she spends most of her time blogging about her life in the countryside and, occasionally, having to fend off bugs that crawl into her house.

However, this experience has also enlightened her about working in the metropolis, and often advises anyone that is eager to work in Tokyo (i.e., Yoshino) to reconsider.
